A shocking new poll has revealed that liberal singer Taylor Swift could influence the results of the 2024 presidential election, as a fifth of voters are “likely” to support the candidate she supports.
The speed could impact the presidential election
A poll conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies for Newsweek found that 18 percent of voters said they were “more likely” or “significantly more likely” to vote for any candidate Swift supported.
Meanwhile, 17% said they would be less likely to vote for a candidate supported by Swift, and 55% said they would not be influenced in any way by the “Anti-Hero” singer. A total of 45% of people who responded to the survey said they were Swift fans, while 54% said they were not.
“It influenced popular culture, sports and the economy of entire regions of the United States,” said communications consultant James Haggerty. “So why not politics and elections?”
“Swift is in class by herself,” added media consultant Brad Adgate. “She IS so talented, so popular and so ingrained in pop culture. No one is close to her.”
Swift has become more famous than ever over the past year, being named Time Magazine’s “2023 Person of the Year” and her romance with Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce has boosted NFL viewership. Additionally, Swift’s 2023 Eras tour became the first tour to cross the billion-dollar mark.
“The power of celebrities in elections has grown because the power of celebrities has grown,” Haggerty said. “The media and social media are the central organizing structure of many Americans’ lives today. And in a world inundated with messages, it’s the voices of celebrities that really resonate.”
“In a world where a reality show star can become president — and maybe become president twice — this makes perfect sense,” he added, referring to former President Donald Trump, who starred in the reality show “The Apprentice.” . almost two decades ago.

Swift’s anti-Trump views
This new poll will be bad news for Trump, as Swift has openly stated that she is against him politically. In 2020, Swift accused Trump of “stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism” in response to comments he made condemning the violence that had spread across the country following the death of George Floyd.
“After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the courage to feign moral superiority before threatening violence?” he wrote on social media at the time, according to the Daily Mail. “When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump.”
In her Netflix documentary “Miss Americana,” Swift talked about how much she regrets not openly opposing Trump during the 2016 presidential election.
“I like Taylor’s music about 25% less now,” Trump said in response.
Swift told the Guardian in 2020 that Trump is “gaslighting the American public.”
“We are a democracy – at least, we should be – where it is allowed to disagree, to disagree, to argue,” he said at the time. “I really think he thinks this is an autocracy.”
Fox News reported that Swift also accused Trump of cheating in the 2020 presidential election.
“Trump’s calculated dismantling of the USPS clearly demonstrates one thing: He is WELL AWARE that we don’t want him as our president,” he said. “He chose to blatantly cheat and put the lives of millions of Americans at risk in an effort to stay in power.”

Biden is already courting Swift
The Mail reported that Swift endorsed Joe Biden in 2020, and his campaign is already touting her endorsement this year in hopes it will help attract young voters.
If Kelce’s team were to win the Super Bowl next month, they would receive the traditional invitation to the White House to celebrate their victory, and Biden would no doubt use this opportunity to court Swift for his endorsement.
It is disturbing to say the least that a pop star like Swift, a proud member of the liberal elite, could have so much influence on this year’s presidential election. Anyone who really wants to be swayed by Swift’s political views should really educate themselves on what’s really important to our country at this critical time.
