Litecoin plunges 10% on fire sale
Investing.com – Litecoin was trading at $81.138 at 03:22 (07:22 GMT) on the Investing.com Index on Sunday, down 10.15% on a daily basis. It was the largest single-day percentage loss since January 3.
The downward movement pushed Litecoin’s market capitalization down to $6.123 billion, or 0.25% of the total cryptocurrency market capitalization. At its peak, Litecoin’s market capitalization was $25.609 billion.
Over the previous twenty-four hours, Litecoin had been trading in a range of $81.138 to $86.317.
Over the past seven days, Litecoin has seen a decline in value, losing 7.53%. The volume of Litecoin traded in the twenty-four hours up to the time of writing this article was $634.902 million, or 0.43% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. Over the last 7 days the price has traded in a range between $81.1377 and $105.6173.
At its current price, Litecoin is still down 80.68% from its all-time high of $420.00 set on December 12, 2017.

Bitcoin’s market capitalization stood at $1,280.539 billion, or 52.18% of the cryptocurrency’s total market capitalization, while Ethereum’s market capitalization stood at $413.374 billion, or 16.84% of the total market value of the cryptocurrency.
