The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has struggled in recent years to generate enough excitement around the once-beloved Oscar celebration. Viewership has steadily declined, with total viewership hitting a two-decade low in 2021.

With the average American uninterested in watching Hollywood elites in overpriced suits speak out on social justice issues while accepting an award for often overrated artistic films, perhaps this year will be different, thanks to the recent Barbie drama. A movie based on a doll that received a slew of nominations is now front-page news due to faux-feminist outrage over some category criticism.

The director and the leading actress did not receive nominations in the best director and best actress categories, on the contrary, the leading actor Done receive a nomination for Best Supporting Actor. The left is experiencing a collapse comparable to that of Chernobyl, underscoring the film’s perceived irony compared to real life.

Ken was nominated for an Oscar and Barbie was not, which means sexism and patriarchy are real. We should all start burning our bras in female solidarity once we understand what a woman is.

Losing knows no gender

Director Greta Gerwig and actress Margot Robbie were not nominated in the director or actress categories for their roles in the film Barbie. However, Ryan Gosling received a nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role as Ken in the pink pop flick that tickled the funny bones and tugged at the heartstrings of millions of aspiring feminists.

Of course, to the dumb masses, this meant that patriarchy is real and that women have failed to achieve any level of equality over time. Prolific loser and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton chimed in, writing on social media:

“Greta and Margot, even though it may hurt to win at the box office but not take home the gold, your millions of fans love you. You are both so much more than Kenough. #HillaryBarbie”

As usual, the failed presidential candidate offers a masterclass in toxic femininity, hijacking an event that has absolutely nothing to do with her and claiming it for herself. It’s important to note that although Gerwig and Robbie were not nominated in the director and actress categories, they received nominations in the producer and adapted screenplay categories.

Their talents they were recognized. The Barbie movie received eight nominations, including America Ferrera, nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category. But the furious feminist movement does not subside and demands that the two chosen female heroines receive the desired recognition regardless of talent or merit, in the name of bringing down The Man and elevating women to the pedestal we rightly deserve.

And yet… this same group is strangely silent when women are literally beaten by men.

Sports are for kids

The hypocrisy displayed by liberal feminists was brilliantly described by Megyn Kelly, who wrote in response to actor Matthew Marsden’s request to publish liberal hypocrisy:

““Feminists” who are super crazy Margot Robbie was “scammed” by The Man out of her Barbie Oscar, but couldn’t care less that @Riley_Gaines_ was scammed out of her NCAA medal by the man Lia Thomas.”

Where was the outrage when Riley Gaines was robbed of her NCAA medal in favor of a man? Instead, the same group that mourns Greta and Margot feels nothing but hatred and vitriol for Riley.

Where were and are these same strong female voices when the Biden administration pushed through updated Title IX regulations to expand the meaning of sex discrimination to include gender identity? This rule fundamentally erases the hard work done to secure and protect women in sports, the original point of Title IX.

Why is there a difference in outrage? Why is it unacceptable for a man to be nominated in an all-male category for playing him in a film, but acceptable for a man to win an award in a women’s sport?

It seems terribly selective, and that’s how all ex-liberal movements have become. It’s okay to fight for women’s rights and equity, unless it’s a sport where biological sex actually matters.

Ken tells the truth

There are calls for Ryan Gosling to renounce his nomination for the role of Ken in protest at the alleged sexism exhibited by the Academy. Like most women of my generation, I am a fan of Ryan and I am happy that he chose not to pass up on his nomination; after all, he had earned it, and he wasn’t competing in the same categories as Greta and Margot.

If anything, the appeals should have been, if nothing else, for the colleagues and directors to reject their candidacies since theoretically, based on the arguments put forward by the indignant feminists, they would have been the ones to take the place of Greta and Margot. All this nonsense aside, in Mr. Gosling’s response to Oscar’s snub, he explained the reality of biological sex himself:

“…there is no Ken without Barbie…”

Deep words from the dreamy Gosling. In fact, there is no Ken without Barbie, Adam without Eve and man without woman.

Yet, progressive puppeteers want to dissolve what Barbie symbolizes. Women matter and women are different from men.

Men matter and men are different from women. Ryan Gosling’s appointment is not proof that the patriarchy is still in power, crushing women’s dreams and contributions.

His nomination shows that the Academy believes that, of all the male supporting actors of the past year, his performance as Ken is worthy of a nomination. However, allowing biological men like Lia Thomas and transgender biological golfer Hailey Davidson to compete against biological women AND crushing the dreams and contributions of women.

Spoiler alert: It’s not the patriarchy that’s the bad guy this round, ladies, it’s all of you, so-called leftist feminist puppets.
