Former First Lady Melania Trump is finally ready to return to her husband’s campaign after taking four months off to mourn her beloved mother Amalija Knavs, who died in January at age 78.
Melania returns to the electoral campaign
Politico reported that Melania will hold her first major political event of the year on April 20, when she will host a fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans at her Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. The event will mark the launch of the organization’s “Road to Victory” program, which plans to target voters in swing states.
Melania has been loyal for years to the Log Cabin Republicans, who call themselves “the nation’s largest Republican organization dedicated to representing conservatives and LGBT allies.” Melania was the special guest at a dinner hosted by the organization in 2021 at Mar-a-Lago and was even awarded a special award.
Last month, Melania told a reporter to “stay tuned” when asked when she would return to Donald Trump’s campaign, according to CNN.
Trump discusses Melania’s return
When asked last year whether Melania would join him on the campaign trail, former President Trump said she would be “very soon.”
“He is a private person, a great person, a very confident person and he loves our country very much,” he said in September. “And honestly, I like to keep her away from all that. You are so ugly and so mean.
In February this year, Trump said Melania would be on the campaign trail “for quite a while” once the mourning period for her mother was over.
“It’s funny, she was a very successful model, very, very successful, and yet she was a private person,” Trump said, according to The Hill. “She’ll be out a lot. Not because she likes doing it, but she likes the results. She wants to see this country truly succeed. She loves the country.
“You know, a lot of first ladies would go out — they want to be everywhere. They get angry at her husband because she doesn’t introduce them,” she continued. “If I didn’t introduce her to Melania she would be very happy. She’s just a different kind of person.

Melania’s devotion to Barron
Trump went on to describe Melania as a “very bright person,” who “speaks many languages” and is devoted to her 18-year-old son Barron.
“His life evolves around that guy,” Trump explained. “It’s so important to her. At the same time, she also revolves around our country and the success of our country. She raised a lot of money for charity. He is a private person.”
“And he loves the country. She will go out a lot, but she does it for the good of the country, not for herself, “she concluded.“ She is a person with a lot of self-confidence. She doesn’t need it.
A month earlier, Trump had said that Melania “will play, and always has had an important role. She was someone you could rely on.

Melania mourns her mother
Melania was left devastated by the death of her beloved mother and delivered a moving eulogy at her funeral in January.
“A ray of light in the darkest days,” Melania said of her mother in the eulogy, according to Newsweek. “In her company I found peace knowing that she would always be there to listen. She celebrated our successes and provided us with unwavering support during chaotic times.”
“Our bond was unbreakable,” he continued. “A testimony to the strength of true mutual love. She was my dear friend. An irreplaceable treasure. A gift granted to me by the universe. And for that I am completely grateful. Rest in peace, my beloved mother.”
Despite what the left says about her, Melania was an incredible first lady and there are millions of Americans who adore her. While it’s good that she took time off to mourn her mother, it’s good to see that she’s ready to get back on the campaign trail, as she might end up becoming her husband’s secret weapon!
