President Mike Johnson is pushing forward a package of four bills, including aid to Ukraine, that the House will try to pass on Saturday.
Johnson wrote to House Republicans:
After significant feedback and discussion from members, the House Rules Committee will soon release the text of three bills today that will fund America’s national security interests and allies in Israel, the Indo-Pacific and in Ukraine, including an aid loan facility. and strengthened strategy and accountability.
These will be submitted under a structured rule that will allow for an amendment process, along with a fourth bill that includes the REPO Act, the TikTok bill, sanctions and other measures to address Russia, China and Iran.

The Rules Committee will also release the text of a border security bill that includes the major components of HR2, under a separate rule that will allow for amendments.
The text of the first three bills will be published shortly, while the fourth bill with the same rule will be published later today. The border security bill will also be published later in the day.
By publishing the text of these bills as soon as they are completed, we will ensure time for a robust amendment process. We expect the vote on the final approval of these bills to take place on Saturday evening.
Thank you all for your feedback and support. I appreciate every member of this conference and look forward to continuing our work together.
Importantly, Johnson has not changed the bill from what he proposed on Monday. Marjorie Taylor Greene and the far right in the House did not give in.
Johnson is challenging Greene to file her own motion to vacate him.
If Johnson carries out his end of the deal, expect a handful of Democrats to step in and vote against the vacate motion, as Democratic leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries has suggested would happen if President Johnson passed a relief bill. ‘Ukraine.
Johnson and his aides are reportedly on board with using Democratic votes to keep the speakership, so it appears that unless things fall apart, and this is the Republican-majority House so all is possible, aid to Ukraine will be approved by Saturday evening.
