As Donald Trump swept Super Tuesday, MSNBC hosts Jen Psaki, Joy Reid and Rachel Maddow openly mocked Republican primary voters in Virginia for saying immigration was their top concern.
They mocked voters as they analyzed the first exit polls.

Open mockery of voters worried about uncontrolled immigration
The New York Post reports: “I live in Virginia. Immigration was the No. 1 issue,” Psaki said, making (Joy Reid) laugh.”
“Well, Virginia has a border with West Virginia, a hotly contested area,” Maddow sarcastically chimed in, sparking more giggles from her co-hosts,” the Post added.
In a later part of the discussion, Reid made a broad generalization, arguing that Republicans vote against their own economic interests because of racism and bigotry.
“They don’t vote based on the economy, or based on how they benefit economically from the president,” he argued.
“They are voting on race; they’re voting on this idea of an invasion of people of color across the border, the idea that they’re not going to be able to get the jobs they want.”
The Post story continues:
Reid, who is black, also said GOP supporters want to “kick all blacks out of colleges” and get rid of diversity, equity and inclusion policies.
“At this stage they are specifically voting on racial animus alone. It’s not about economics,” the host of MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” said, with Psaki nodding in agreement.

Elites in the dark
Despite these MSNBC hosts dismissing a very real concern for everyday Americans, a recent Gallup poll showed that immigration has become a top concern among voters.
The poll released in late February showed that 28% of Americans considered immigration their top concern, up from 20% in January.
This might be trivial for MSNBC personalities to chuckle about, but for the working class they see a real problem that isn’t getting the attention it deserves.
These are the same types of hosts who are confused about why Donald Trump is doing so well and their preferred candidate, Democratic President Joe Biden, is doing so poorly.
They will continue to bury their heads in the sand, laughing all over the place.
But come November, they are likely to face a rude awakening.
