Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) reminded America why Donald Trump should not be president.
CNN’s Dana Bash asked Pelosi if Trump received classified briefings and she responded:
I have 30 years of congressional intelligence experience.
This information is very important and it is important that it is not shared. So I hope they get some commitment from him, as we all do when we are informed, that they understand the importance of this information and that it is not shared.

The experience with him was not positive, but I hope that those who recommend him say: grow up, live up to your responsibilities. Don’t share it with the Russian Foreign Minister, as he did earlier in the Oval Office.
But we have to… we just have to win this election, because he even predicts a bloodbath. What does it mean? Will it require a bloodbath? There’s something wrong here.
How much respect do I have for the American people and their goodness, but how much more do they have to see from them to understand that this is not what our country is about? Praising Hitler, praising the Russians, honestly, I mean condemning our soldiers for losing or dying in war or being captured in war.
He said, what’s wrong with Russia? They defeated Hitler.
What about the millions of Americans who risked or gave their lives? How about him saying that the soldiers buried in Europe he didn’t want to visit because they were losers?
This is… something’s wrong. There’s something wrong here. So I just say, with all the respect in the world for the voters and their right to make their own decisions, to evaluate these actions. How concerned are you that more women – or that women have the right to choose or that LGBT people have the right to their own lives – that you would vote for him?
You wouldn’t even allow it in your own home, much less the White House.
So, in any case, yes, I think he should get the information, but – because he’s a presidential candidate, he should be held to a standard that all of us have been.

In case anyone has forgotten, as the corporate media spends its time normalizing Trump, the former president has a long track record of espousing anti-American and anti-democratic positions. Former Speaker Pelosi laid out just a few of them, and made it clear that Trump should not be given classified briefings unless certain security measures are in place.
Speaker Pelosi was right. Trump represents a threat to the American way of life and to individual rights and freedoms.
Since the media refuses to cover Trump in this way, it will be up to Democrats to remind voters of the threat Trump poses to the nation.
