New York Community Bancorp (NYSE: NYCB), the regional lender that secured a $1 billion capital injection last month, said Friday that its chief financial officer will be named Craig Gifford.
With more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry, Gifford most recently served in an executive role vice president, Enterprise Operations at US Bancorp (USB), where he led all physical operations, including the distribution strategy for the bank’s branches and ATM network.
NYCB, which said in January it was bracing for huge losses on commercial real estate loans, has named three more executives:
- Bao Nguyen, senior executive vice president, general counsel and chief of staff;
- Scott Shepherd, senior executive vice president, commercial real estate lending; AND
- James Simons, Executive Vice President, Special Advisor to the CEO.
