No, that wasn’t Katie Britt’s voice. Alabama’s freshman senator doesn’t usually talk like that.

Republicans continue to make the same mistake with the SOTU rebuttal. Under Donald Trump, Republicans choose someone who they think resembles a demographic they want to reach without considering whether that person has experience and can deliver an effective message to the nation without becoming an SNL skit and ruining their career.

Britt was so bad that Senate Republicans publish text quotes instead of video clips:

And by lame, the aforementioned Republican means very funny and defines pop culture.
