You might think that the public would have learned its lesson about letting the left have anything to do with the police after the disastrous idea to “defund” the police.

North Carolina Police Academy’s proposed curriculum includes teaching 68 terms for “gender identity”
Citizens who want to become police officers in the state of North Carolina will be required to undergo training that teaches them to use gender-neutral terminology when speaking to the public and to learn from an article about gender identity, according to a proposed curriculum .
The 16-week Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) course offered to people over the age of 20 in North Carolina will likely see significant changes in 2025 at the behest of the state Department of Justice (DOJ), has the Carolina Journal reported.
The Justice Department’s Justice Academy, which administers the program, worked to rewrite sections of the course as part of the BLET 2025 project. The redesign was created by police chiefs, sheriffs, lawyers, academics and subject matter experts following a 2018 analysis.
Much of the restructuring means more training for recruits. The course is expected to increase from 640 hours to 868 hours. The 35% increase provides more hands-on training for de-escalation and management of the mentally ill. Written materials will also increase to 4,492 pages, from 2,840.

The North Carolina police academy is considering teaching new officers more than 60 terms that describe “gender identity” and “expression.”
