The Times of Israel reported:
Argentine President Javier Milei landed in Israel on Tuesday, where he announced he will move the Argentine embassy to Jerusalem.
Milei, who made Israel the destination of his first bilateral visit since taking over the presidency in December, had pledged to make the move during his election campaign.
No concrete steps have been taken regarding the transfer and there is no Argentine ambassador to Israel.
However, an Israeli diplomat told the Times of Israel that “the positive statement is important” and “we look forward to Argentina opening its sixth embassy in Jerusalem.”
Milei was attacked at the Western Wall.
