Putin Pal Rand Paul is trying to delay the vote on aid to Ukraine

Senator Paul’s statement is the most blatantly pro-Russian position imaginable. Ukraine needs aid immediately. It’s an emergency situation, so Paul wants to proceed slowly. This means that even if the House speeds up the bill and passes it quickly, Paul will use every procedural delay tactic at his disposal to make the Senate jump through hoops so the aid doesn’t make it to the Senate’s desk. President Biden until potentially later next week.

By delaying aid, Senator Paul is doing Putin’s bidding. The pro-Russian Republicans in the House and Senate are not on the side of US national security. Paul is publicly working against the nation’s security interests as an elected official who has sworn an oath to defend the Constitution against foreign enemies.

The bill will eventually pass the Senate, but Rand Paul intends to do everything he can to buy Putin more time.
