Sphere 3D Corp. (NASDAQ: ANY) said on Friday that it mined 40.3 bitcoin (BTC-USD) in February, 33.9% fewer than the 61.0 tokens generated in January and about 14.8% more than the 35.1 coins generated in the period of the previous year.
“We mined less Bitcoin thanks to our hosting partner in Springfield, MO has been down for the month due to technical issues,” said Patricia Trompeter, CEO of Sphere 3D. “We are pushing for a fix,” she added.
Over the month, the company sold 42.3 bitcoin (BTC-USD), surpassing January’s 76.4 and slightly exceeding the 41.5 BTC sold a year ago.
Mining revenues were $1.9 million compared to $2.6 million in the prior month and $0.8 million in February 2023.
At the end of February, its distributed hash rate stood at 1.2 exahash per second (EH/s), unchanged from January and up from 0.4 EH/s a year earlier. Likewise, the number of miners employed remained stable M/M at ~12.3K, and increased from ~4.33K in February 2023.
