Stephen Colbert tears apart Trump’s Bible scam

Stephen Colbert debunked Trump’s Bible scam by pointing out that Trump charges $60 for public domain writings.

Colbert debunked Trump’s Bible video:

Trump: I’m proud to partner with my very good friend, Lee Greenwood. Who doesn’t love his song “God Bless The USA”?

Colbert: Yeah, who doesn’t love Greenwood’s “God Bless The USA” and his other big hits like… “Thank you for blessing the USSA, God.” You know who really loves that song? Lee Greenwood. He has a different ad for this Bible that says this.

Commercial: Introducing the limited edition god bless the usa bible,3 inspired by Lee Greenwood’s hit song and America’s most recognized patriotic anthem, “God Bless The USA.”

Colbert: Yes! I challenge anyone to name a more recognized patriotic anthem in this entire nation. A sort of national anthem, if you will! I’m joking, obviously. We all know it’s “Party In The USA”. [Cheering] Thanks for your service, Miley! Long may you, wrecking ball.

Trump: This Bible is the King James Version and also includes the documents of our founding father. Yes, the Constitution. Also the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence and the Oath of Allegiance.

Colbert: So you spend $60 to write in the public domain. “If you order now, you will receive all the Camptown Races lyrics and a photo of Jesus’ most beloved disciple, Steamboat Willie.” Trump continued to cheat.

Trump: All Americans need a Bible in their home, and I have plenty of them.

Colbert: Yes. It is true. Many. Must have spare Bibles. Because every time he holds one, it catches fire

The Bible sells a ridiculous scam, and it’s easy to laugh at its absurdity, but it’s far from the worst thing Trump will do to America on any given day.

This is a guy who stole confidential and government documents and hid them in his bathroom. He is capable of much, much worse before most of us have even finished our morning coffee.

As Colbert pointed out, American Bibles are nothing new. This scam has been around for years. The only difference is that Trump signed a licensing agreement to sell these corruptions of faith for him.

Donald Trump can’t even hold the Bible right up, but he sells it like he’s an expert.

It’s silly and was deservedly debunked by Stephen Colbert.
