Super Bowl LVIII: Taylor Swift watches Kansas City beat San Francisco

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are back-to-back Super Bowl champions.

Mahomes threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman with 3 seconds left in overtime, and the Chiefs rallied to beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 on Sunday in the second overtime game in Super Bowl history, becoming the first champions to repeat in 19 years and ninth overall.

After days of speculation and anticipation, Taylor Swift finished her journey across nine time zones – rushing from a concert in Tokyo to land at Los Angeles International Airport on Saturday – before arriving in Las Vegas ahead of the big game. On Sunday, she was seen in a private box at the Allegiant Stadium pit, chatting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Swift’s latest song was still ringing in the ears of thousands of fans at the Tokyo Dome on Saturday night, as the singer rushed onto a private jet at Haneda Airport, presumably embarking on a carefully vetted trip to see Kelce.

With a final bow at the end of her sold-out show, dressed in a blue sequined dress, the crowd roaring, strobe lights pulsing, confetti falling, Swift disappeared beneath the stage and her journey to the other side began of the world.

About an hour after the concert ended, AP reporters were near the Haneda private jet area when minivans arrived and someone entered the gate area, as four or five people carrying large black umbrellas obstructed the person’s view.

Swift dated Chiefs star Travis Kelce for much of the football season, a relationship that was profitable for the NFL and the Chiefs.
