Fashion technology company Lyst ranked the hottest brands for the fourth quarter after taking into account product views, searches and sales on its platform and other platforms. The Lyst formula also incorporated mentions, activities and engagement statistics on social media around the world over the three months.
Prada SpA (OTCPK:PRDSY) ranked as the world’s hottest brand for the third time since 2022. “With searches up 41% year-over-year, the brand’s consistent collections are driving demand around the world” , Lyst noted.
Decker Outdoor (NYSE: BRIDGE) The UGG brand re-entered Lyst’s hottest brands index, with the UGG Tasman slippers coming in at number six among the hottest products during the quarter. The UGG brand has not been in Lyst’s top 20 since 2022.
Kim Kardashian’s Skims brand was named one of the fastest rising brands during Q4, climbing three places to 14th overall. The brand was said to still have strong momentum after teaming up with Swarovski on an exclusive collection of body-shaping jewelry and crystal-encrusted shapewear, and being named the official underwear partner for the NBA. Skims men’s boxers ranked tenth in the trendiest products category. Skims currently has an estimated valuation of around $4 billion after raising $270 million in Series C funding in July. That valuation for Skims is higher than the market caps for retail players such as Under Armor (UAA), Oxford Industries (OXM), Canada Goose (GOOS), Urban Outfitters (URBN), American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) and Hanesbrands (HBI) . This year the company is on track for 50% year-over-year revenue growth to an annual total of $750 million.
Victoria Beckham’s brand appeared on the list after the launch of the Beckham documentary on Netflix (NFLX) led to a spike in search interest in the Victoria Beckham Beauty brand’s products.
Ralph Lauren (RL) was identified as an emerging group, with the clothing giant’s slim-fit polo and chino baseball cap standing out as strong products in the quarter in terms of search interest. The Taylor Swift effect could be a major factor in the future after the singer wore a Ralph Lauren sweater to the latest Kansas City Chiefs game, which led to a huge spike in Google searches for the keywords “red sweater” following spotting.
On Holdings (ONON) also saw a spike in search interest in the fourth quarter, and the On x Loewe sneaker emerged as a hot product.
Luxury brands Moncler (OTCPK:MONRF), Versace (NYSE:CPRI), and Burberry (OTCPK:BURBY) also performed well during the quarter.
