A few days later, I blogged about the Dwight Opperman Foundation’s rather callous action to award this year’s RBG Leadership Awards to a bizarre list of honorees: Elon Musk, Rupert Murdoch, Martha Stewart, Michael Milken, and Sylvester Stallone.
On Tuesday, the Foundation backtracked and canceled this year’s awards ceremony “after facing harsh criticism from its family and friends over this year’s intended recipients,” in the words of the NY Times.
A good move; if I scold them for making a mistake, I should applaud when they recognize their mistake and try to make things right.
