According to Lawrence O’Donnell, Trump is facing so many civil lawsuits that he could have $1 billion in judgments against him in the next few years.
O’Donnell said:
E. Jean Carroll sent Donald Trump on the path to bankruptcy. With the $90 million he now owes E. Jean Carroll as of tonight. That’s $80.3 million added to the $5.6 million a jury returned for E. Jean Carroll in the same courtroom last year and with ongoing interest on both judgments, interest. Remember, the interest that everyone forgot about. Donald Trump already owes about $90 million to E. Jean Carroll. And that debt grows every single day it goes unpaid due to interest added by law to that amount every day it remains unpaid. And this may be the smallest debt Donald Trump has after a New York judge issued a ruling in a civil fraud case against Donald Trump in which the New York state attorney general is sinking $370 million.
And that’s not all. Don’t stop here. Much bigger judgments are coming. Juries in Washington, D.C., could dwarf New York’s numbers if they return verdicts against Donald Trump in civil lawsuits brought against him by 11 members of the House of Representatives. There are 11 plaintiffs suing Donald Trump for actually threatening their lives on January 6 by sending his mob to the Capitol.
There are also three police officers who are suing Donald Trump over threats of harm they received on January 6th. In each of these plaintiffs’ cases, each of them could receive hundreds of millions of dollars in the same Washington, D.C. court where a civil jury returned a $148 million verdict against Rudolph Giuliani for defaming two Georgia election workers , Ruby. Freeman and his daughter Shaye Moss.
Donald Trump could face court orders to pay a billion dollars or more in the coming years. And those DC jurors will hear Donald Trump say in depositions that he’s worth ten billion dollars. Those jurors will hear Donald Trump’s claims that he is worth far more money than his asset accounting shows. And so, the 90, 400 million, depending on when he collects it, that E. Jean Carroll is now about to collect from Donald Trump may just be the beginning of Donald Trump’s collapse into bankruptcy because of all the intentional actions and stupid ways Donald Trump broke the law, the law that E. Jean Carroll used to crash Donald Trump in court to humiliate him, to the point that he stood outside the courtroom during closing arguments, is the oldest law to which Donald Trump found himself subject.

Many people may have forgotten the civil lawsuits filed against Trump in connection with the 6/1 attack. These plaintiffs are likely to throw Trump deeper into the hole. Donald Trump’s problems are growing. While his Florida properties have reportedly risen in value, the rest of his business appears to be flatlining.
Whether MAGA wants to deal with it or not, their strongman hero may be broke and needing help.
