Trump attacked MSNBC hosts and Chuck Todd for stopping the hiring of Ronna McDaniel that he obviously wanted.
Trump posted on Truth Social:
THE FAKE MSDNC ANCHORS HAVE TAKEN CONTROL OF NBC FROM PRESIDENT BRIAN ROBERTS, AND HE DOESN’T KNOW WHAT TO DO! THEIR judgments suck, FIRE THEM AND START EVERYTHING AGAIN. WHO WOULD HAVE EVER THOUGHT THAT THE FAILED PRESIDENT, SLEEPY EYES CHUCK TODD, WOULD HAVE THE AUDACITY TO SAY BRIAN ROBERTS REGARDING THE HIRING OF RONNA ROMNEY. THEY SHOULD FIRED HIM IMMEDIATELY AND NEVER LOOK BACK. MAGA2024!
NBC won’t fire Chuck Todd for opposing the hiring of Ronna McDaniel because Trump said so. The former president’s comments make it crystal clear that hiring McDaniel was a move to please and appeal to Trump. Donald Trump wanted his former RNC chairman on the network and MSNBC to spread his misinformation and his talking points.

McDaniel’s hire was about purchasing access. Even though McDaniel wasn’t hired to be an anchor or reporter, one could easily imagine that NBC News would get an interview with Trump as long as she was the one asking the questions.
Ronna McDaniel’s hiring was handled by NBC News executives who previously worked at Politico and The New York Times. NBC News executives apparently see appeasing Trump as their path to success.
Ronna McDaniel won’t be on NBC News, but given the behavior of the network’s executives, it won’t be long before another Trump hire is attempted.
