Trump claims Fani Willis’ comments during church speech are grounds for disqualification from case.
ABC News reported:
Willis, addressing the congregation last month at Big Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church during a service celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day, said: “I have appointed three special counselors. It’s my right to do so. I paid everyone the same hourly rate.” Of the three, Willis said, “I hired a black man.”
“They only attack one,” he said. “Aren’t they playing the race card when they only question one?”

Trump’s statement said Willis’ conduct in making these comments “was truly shameful” and “undeniably unethical.”
As such, Trump renewed his call to disqualify Willis and dismiss his election interference charge, stating that Willis had “made a calculated and purposeful choice here to ignore his special ethical responsibilities as a prosecutor because he conceived that he was in the its own interest in doing so.
How do Willis’ comments affect the case against Donald Trump?
Willis said nothing serious or immoral about any of the defendants. He did not discuss the evidence. Trump’s accusation was desperate.
Donald Trump needs Fani Willis removed from the RICO case because if she were removed, it would mean her entire office would be removed and the state would have to find a new district attorney to take over the investigation, which is unlikely at this stage. If Willis were disqualified and transferred, the case would likely die.
Trump’s request is not about eliminating Fani Willis. It’s an attempt to get rid of the entire accusation.
A new poll showed that if Trump is convicted of a crime, President Biden will have a five-point lead and likely cruise to re-election.
Trump needs Fani Willis gone because her case could cost him the election.
