Republicans and Trump will try to drop charges related to trying to induce public officials to violate their oath, but Trump remains accused of racketeering in Georgia,
CNN reported:
The judge presiding over this case, Scott McAfee, decided to dismiss six of the 41 charges. We should also be clear, although the most important charge in this indictment, racketeering, still stands, but in the short term it is solicitation for violation of an oath and office. So these defendants who allegedly tried to get officials to violate their oath by creating this false election scheme. Or, as we have seen, the former president tried to appeal to the secretary of state to overturn the election results, but in this case such accusations no longer apply. Scott McAfee, the judge who ruled that the district attorney’s office did not provide sufficient detail about what part of the oath these defendants tried to get these public officials to violate, called this ultimately a fatal mistake.

Legal expert Norm Eisen pointed out that McAfee’s ruling is a sign that the judge will not disqualify District Attorney Willis:
BREAKING: In some sort of indication that Judge McAfee will NOT disqualify Willis, he refuses to throw out key elements of the RICO charge even though he is throwing some of the later counts at some of the defendants for lack of specificity ( 1/x) pic.twitter.com/Vr84iedqOp

Trump and MAGA will blow a lot of smoke about this firing and blow it out of proportion, but the truth is that these counts were minor counts. The big charges against Trump are those related to RICO. If the case had been without merit, the judge would have taken any of the numerous opportunities available to him to dismiss the charges against Trump.
McAfee chose not to, so at some point Donald Trump will likely face RICO charges in Georgia.
