Trump Media & Technology Shares (NASDAQ:DJT) jumped here and there 20% premarket Tuesday in its Nasdaq debut.
On Monday, SPAC Digital World Acquisition and former President Donald Trump’s media company, Trump Media & Technology Group, announced the completion of their corporate merger. The deal had already received approval from DWAC shareholders.
Trump Media will continue to be led by CEO Devin Nunes and his current management team.
Year to date, Digital World shares have risen nearly 185% in a long-delayed combination, a period that has seen Trump win multiple primaries to become the Republican nominee for president.
“As a public company, we will passionately pursue our vision of building a movement to reclaim the Internet from Big Tech censorship,” Nunes said in a press release announcing the closing of the deal.
