An appeals court has heard Trump’s latest attempt to postpone his criminal trial that begins next week.
CNN reported:
A New York appeals court has quietly rejected Donald Trump’s petition to change the venue of his upcoming trial.
The former president’s lawyers had urged the court on Monday to postpone the trial so they could consider changing venue, arguing that Trump cannot get a fair jury in New York.

But Associate Justice Lizbeth González quickly denied the motion to stop the trial after hearing arguments Monday, and there were no further arguments on the motion to change venue.
Trump’s basic argument is that he cannot get a fair trial in the place where he is believed to have committed so many crimes. Trump was held liable in civil court for decades of fraud and for the rape of E. Jean Carroll. He will soon be on trial for secret payments to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election and beyond, which Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has argued was election interference along with falsification of corporate records.
Apparently Donald Trump is very worried about being tried in Manhattan. He is trying to change the venue while potentially laying the groundwork to tell his supporters that he was convicted because he couldn’t get a fair trial.
I forgot what Trump posts on Truth Social. What he is ordering lawyers to do in court is the behavior of a frightened defendant who fears being convicted.
