Trump wins latest victory in Louisiana Republican primary
Former President Trump, the likely Republican nominee, has won Louisiana’s Republican presidential primary, according to Decision Desk HQ projections.
Trump went into the Louisiana primary with 1,636 pledged delegates and won all 47 available delegates on Saturday. The state rewards its delegates based on the winner-takes-all principle.
The former president has already crossed the threshold needed to clinch the party’s nomination, setting up a rematch between him and President Biden in November.
