Under Biden, 7.2 million illegal aliens entered the United States. That’s a larger population than 36 states

It has been clear for some time that Joe Biden doesn’t care about his country’s southern border.

The US-Mexico border is pure chaos – and the president is out to lunch.

But it’s important to put this tragedy into context, which Fox News recently did by comparing the number of illegal immigrants entering the country under Biden to the size of the U.S. population in many states.

Border tragedy

Over 7 millions illegal aliens have been crossing the border since Biden took office. That’s twice as many people as live in Los Angeles and almost as many as live in New York City.

But even that doesn’t tell the whole story.

Fox News reports: “Nearly 7.3 million migrants have crossed the Southwest border illegally under President Biden’s watch, more than the population of 36 individual states, a Fox News analysis finds.”

“This figure comes from US Customs and Border Protection, which has already reported 961,537 border encounters in the current fiscal year, which runs from October to September,” Fox News notes.

The story continued:

If the current pace of illegal immigration does not slow, fiscal year 2024 will surpass last year’s record of 2,475,669 encounters at the southwest border, a number that alone exceeds the population of New Mexico, a border state .

The total number of encounters at the southwest land border since Biden took office in 2021 is 7,298,486, CBP data shows.

It is larger than the populations of 36 US states, including Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

The article continued: “Compared to the largest states in the United States, the number of 7.3 million corresponds to approximately 18.7 percent of California’s population of 39 million, 23.9 percent of the state of Texas and its 31 million residents, 32.3% of Florida’s population and 37.3% of New York’s. That’s more than half the size of Pennsylvania, Illinois and Ohio.”

Overall, “overall, nearly 10 million migrants entered the United States illegally during the Biden administration, a record that Biden critics say could only be achieved by willfully refusing to enforce the law.”

Incredible

Is there a greater dereliction of duty for a president than this?

We often focus on Biden’s stumbles, obliviousness, and other aspects of his incompetence resulting from his advanced age.

But old or not, this allowing such a staggering number of illegal aliens to enter the country is a failure, as president, of epic proportions.

Joe Biden does not deserve another term. He deserves a trial.

Because his lack of respect for his country’s borders is criminal.
