Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) responded to a colleague’s recent revelation of a serious “national security threat” — but probably not in the way she might have expected.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) publicly disclosed the threat and asked President Joe Biden to declassify the information. As reported by The Political Insider, Turner’s claims have received some pushback, more due to the timing of the news than perhaps its substance.
Reports have emerged suggesting that the threat in question is “Russia wanting to put a nuclear weapon in space” to destroy satellites.
But speculation has mounted suggesting that Turner revealed the threat when he did, despite it not being an imminent concern, as a means of pushing lawmakers in the House to vote for more aid to foreign nations, particularly Ukraine.

Greene on national security threat: It’s real
Congresswoman Greene took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to express her opinion on the alleged “national security threat,” warning, “It’s real.”
Except that the threat is internal.
“Are we facing a national security threat?” Greene asked. “It’s my duty to be honest with you. YES. It is true.”
But that threat isn’t really what Turner was trying to sell.
“Our President is a dementia patient responsible for our country and nuclear football, which has torn our borders opening the doors to over 10 million people and counting from over 160 countries around the world and 2 million of them are not we have ever captured, however, an unknown many of these are actually terrorists who want to kill you,” Greene said.
Greene further focused on the border threat, highlighting the President’s alleged strengthening of drug cartels and willingness to turn a blind eye to human trafficking.
He also highlighted “national security threats” in the form of national debt owned predominantly by Communist China, the weakening of the U.S. dollar and the devastation of taxpayers’ personal retirement accounts.

Greene takes aim at pro-Ukrainian Republican Turner
Greene, in her lengthy post, took time to address Turner’s claims and the general use of classified intelligence as a weapon to influence government policy and public opinion.
“Perhaps the greatest threat is that the federal government has become so powerful over the people that it leaks ‘intelligence’ to the press to pressure Congress to get certain votes, protect its power to spy on its citizens, maintain power, and protect job security and, most terrifying of all, it has become a weapon to crush his political enemies,” he said.
“All of this, I’m telling you, you’re not from SCIF, you already know,” Greene told her followers, “and I’m counting on you to help me stop our greatest threat to national security, the one from within.” .”
Critics have suggested that Biden’s mishandling of the border crisis is intentional and is a means to import Democratic voters so he and his party can maintain power.
X CEO Elon Musk suggested that the president open the borders as part of a two-phase plan: “Bring as many illegal aliens into the country as possible” and “legalize them to create a permanent majority – a state single-party”.
This is the plan of a man who represents the real “threat to national security.”
