President Joe Biden will be interviewed by MSNBC on Saturday.

Joe Biden is in Baltimore, Maryland, to visit the recently collapsed Francis Scott Key Bridge and “make comments reaffirming his commitment to the people of Baltimore,” after a flying tour on Air Force One, the White House.

The Gateway Pundit reported the bridge collapsed after a cargo ship collided with a support column, destroying it.

The Key Bridge is a major commuter route carrying the I-695 Baltimore Beltway over the Patapsco River at the southern end of the Port of Baltimore.

Two weeks later, it’s still unclear how it happened, but Old Joe is coming to the rescue.

According to AP:

BALTIMORE (AP) — President Joe Wait Friday I got a first-hand look at the efforts to clear the massive remains of the The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapsedas cranes, ships and dive crews work to reopen one of the nation’s major shipping lanes.

Aboard Marine One, circling the warped metal remains and mass of construction and rescue equipment trying to clear the wreckage of last week’s collapse, Biden got his first up-close view of the devastation. On land, he was expected to receive updates from local officials as well as the U.S. Coast Guard and Army Corps of Engineers.

Eight workers – immigrants from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador – were filling holes on the bridge when it was hit by a huge cargo ship and collapsed in the middle of the night on March 26. Two men were rescued, but the bodies of only two of the dead were recovered. The president was also supposed to meet the families of the victims.
