On Monday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg outrageously claimed that abortion is not included in the Ten Commandments, claiming that “Thou shalt not kill” does not apply to it.
Trump’s position on abortion
Goldberg and his co-hosts were discussing former President Donald Trump’s abortion stance that he posted on social media Monday. In his post, Trump expressed his support for in vitro fertilization (IVF) and argued that it should be up to states to enact their own abortion laws as long as there are exceptions for rape, incest and the life of the mother.
“My opinion is that now we have abortion where everyone wanted it from a legal standpoint, the states will determine that by vote or legislation, or maybe both,” Trump said, according to CNN. “And whatever they decide must be the law of the land. In this case, state law.”
“Many states will be different,” he continued. “Many will have a different number of weeks, or some will have a more conservative period than others, and that will be what it will be. In the end, everything depends on the will of the people.”
Goldberg fires back
This didn’t sit well with Goldberg, who in response was quick to rail against abortion on “The View.”
“No one is forced to have an abortion. You never have to have one, and I hope no one ever has to have one,” Goldberg said. “I want to make sure that if you decide this is what you need to do, I will support you because I don’t know your life, and if you say this is what you need, that’s what I’m going to do.”
“It’s you, your doctor and God. That’s who you need to be conversational with, and it’s not mentioned in the big ten, I’ll just say it,” he added, referring to the Ten Commandments.
When his co-host Sunny Hostin pointed out that evangelical Christians would enforce the phrase “thou shalt not kill,” Goldberg responded by saying, “I think ‘thou shalt not kill’ can’t be used as a blockade because we allow wars all the time. time.”
Hostin then underlined the existence of the death penalty and said: “we allow firearms.”
“So there’s some conversation to be had there, so either you’re not going to kill for everyone and everything, or we need to talk about all the things you and I need to do,” Goldberg concluded.
Even radically liberal co-host Joy Behar got in on the action, making a bizarre comparison to immigrants flooding cities across the United States
“They are worried about immigrants coming to these cities. Wait until these women start going to cities that allow abortion. It’s going to be inundated with women, look,” Behar said, with his co-host Sara Haines chiming in to clarify, “you mean when they move.
“If they can even leave their state because these women don’t even have the money to leave Texas or whatever to come to New York,” Behar added.

Goldberg’s previous argument on abortion
This is not the first time that Goldberg has lashed out in this way against abortion rights. In 2022, Goldberg outrageously argued that God is in favor of abortion because he gave humans “freedom of choice.”
“As you know, God doesn’t make mistakes,” he insisted. “God made us smart enough to know when things weren’t going to work out for us. That’s the beauty of giving us freedom of choice.”

As you can see, Goldberg’s views on abortion are completely unhinged, and it’s despicable that ABC continues to give her a platform to spew them on a daily basis. Ultimately, all Goldberg is achieving with these rants is showing how far removed from reality she really is.
