Whoopi Goldberg, co-host of The View, believes the Supreme Court’s decision to review the case involving former President Donald Trump’s presidential immunity claims could lead to a kind of dictatorship in America.

Goldberg, perhaps best known for her role in the film The color purplehe suggested that if the Court rules in Trump’s favor, it could open a Pandora’s box.

According to the comedian, this could even lead the current president to take dictatorial action.

“Let’s look at a scenario where the Supreme Court says yes, he has all those rights. He is immune to everything. Do you know what Joe Biden could do since he is currently president? Woooooo!” Goldberg said.

“He could throw every Republican in prison. I mean, it could! she added.

Goldberg had to caution against the far-left public’s exuberance over that idea, saying, “No, no, this is not a good thing.”

Goldberg thinks presidential immunity could lead Biden to jail his political opponents

Most legal experts, even those from the left-leaning media, have declared that the Supreme Court’s decision to review presidential immunity is a big victory for the Republican Party’s leading presidential candidate.

The Court has set an accelerated timetable with, as Goldberg reported, arguments starting the week of April 22. The decision could potentially delay Trump’s trial until after the election.

Special Prosecutor Jack Smith had urged the court to reject Trump’s request for a presidential immunity review, but if they persisted, they requested a quick timeline.

Even if the court were to quickly make a decision based on this timeline and rule against Trump, it now seems highly unlikely that the January 6 case will be resolved before the November election.

Legal expert Rick Hasen suggested the decision means it “could be the end” for the special defender’s case.

Biden is already doing it, Whoopi

Goldberg should not be confused with an expert on political issues, especially those involving the highest court in the land. None of the women on “The View” have any special knowledge when it comes to these things, despite the audience hanging on their every word.

That said, it seems unlikely that Goldberg has been living under a rock. We know that when he says President Biden “could throw every Republican in prison,” he has seen actual cases of this.

Not legislators per se, but certainly Republican voters.

Biden’s Justice Department has jailed mostly peaceful protesters since January 6, jailed pro-life grandmothers protesting abortion clinics, had the Justice Department target Catholic churches, and prosecuted as terrorists worried parents during school board meetings.

President Biden did not need a Supreme Court review of presidential immunity to lead this effort. He just did it.
