On Saturday, Let Women Speak (LWS), an organization that defends biological women from the radical trans agenda, held a rally in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The demonstration was led by LWS founder Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull, who said her aim was to “test the law” to see how the police would handle gender-critical chanting in light of Scotland’s new legislation on hate crimes.
Speaking to the crowd, Keen-Minshull described transitioning children as “profound abuse” and called Scotland’s hate crime laws “absurd”.
The fascist “hate crimes” law came into force on April 1st.
Sky News reports it:
Scotland’s Hate Crime and Public Order Bill came into force on Monday 1 April and aims to provide greater protection for victims and communities. Consolidates existing legislation and introduces new offenses for threatening or abusive behavior aimed at fomenting hatred based on prejudice towards characteristics such as age, disability, religion, sexual orientation and transgender identity.
The new provisions come in addition to race statute laws, which have been in place across the UK since 1986. Sex has been omitted from the law as a standalone bill designed to tackle misogyny is expected to be introduced to the Scottish Parliament at a later date.
During the rally, LWS faced vocal opposition from various pro-transgender groups.
Edinburgh News:
While Ms Keen publicly thanked Police Scotland “for keeping women safe at the event”, many of her supporters were left angry and frustrated. Many complained of being “crammed” into too small a space while surrounded on three sides by trans activists who hurled insults at them during the two-hour event.
They were labeled “Nazis” by trans activists brandishing a megaphone near where the women were gathered and at one point officers “contained” the section of trans activists as they shouted and chanted insults against the women. Many women spoke of their anger and anxiety at being “boiled” and surrounded by a hostile crowd with whistles, sirens, megaphones and horns in an attempt to drown out the women’s event.
As angry, masked men with loudspeakers, sirens and offensive signs hung from barriers to intimidate, antagonize and silence women, @policescotland placing hands on women to physically move them at the request of trans activists.

Women have the right to gather peacefully in a public place to talk to each other about the challenges they face. They shouldn’t be forced to do this
surrounded by a hostile crowd of men facilitated by Police Scotland. No other situation would have been controlled in this way. #LetTheWomenParlare pic.twitter.com/txhkoGOeKk— Gethin Chamberlain (@newsandpics) April 6, 2024
And why did Police Scotland allow TRAs to surround the women’s gathering from all sides so that the women were effectively boiled. #WormsWontWheesht #LetTheWomenParlare pic.twitter.com/Xcy2dF29yz
