SNL’s cold open featured Democrats, administration officials and celebrities touting Joe Biden’s incredible physical feats.
SNL’s Karine Jean-Pierre’s take looked back at Biden’s morning show: “Nice to be with you to talk about the most vigorous man I have ever known, Joe Biden. I was right there with him and, behind closed doors, it’s a whirlwind. Look at his program. 7:00, soul cycling lesson, and he leads it: 8:30, he plays speed chess in the park. 8:32 he wins the chess game, points to his opponent and says next time, young blood. 09:30, meet with the Joint Chiefs for a military strategy meeting and push-up competition. 10:02 he Wins the race, points to the heads of the joint leaders and says, next time, young blood. Then, the train time. All this before a lunch in which he eats five whole chickens and a raw potato.
Then DHS Secretary Mayorkas told his story about Biden: “I was right with him, and behind closed doors, he’s a dynamo. This weekend we went to the border town of Brownsville, Texas, and Joe went into beast mode. He said we need to tighten this border, then he parked up to the top of the border wall, ran head-on into the Rio Grande and came back with a fish in his mouth. But you didn’t report it because he doesn’t fit your little narrative.
Draymond Green said Biden has the strength of that old monkey and the windmill crushed about him. He ended his part with, “You don’t mess with Joe.”

SNL’s Dana Bash said Democrats shouldn’t overplay Biden because everyone knows the stakes of the election.
Of course, the joke was that when Joe Biden was called on the phone, he went to turn up the volume and hung up.
The point is that Democrats don’t have to try that hard to prove Biden’s suitability for the White House, but the reality is that they do.
The New York Times and other corporate media have decided that Biden’s age is the most critical issue in the election. They have relentlessly spread stories about his age and vowed to continue attacking the president, so Democrats must be offensive about Biden’s age because they can’t risk people fully understanding the threat and not falling into the media’s frame. .
It was a cool and funny opening, but these openings are not yet on the level of Trump parodies.
